This afternoon I decided to indulge in a mani/pedi because well…I’ve been sick all week and well…because dammit, I deserve it right?! Anyway, while I was getting an extra ten minute foot massage the Blind Side came on the TV and suddenly I was in the most ironic scenario. Here I was, in a pretentious Westchester town getting my nails did surrounded by white, privileged females....

New York
Today officially marks my two year anniversary of life in New York. Seven hundred and twenty days. WOW.
This day kind of just sprung up on me…I knew it was coming but I didn’t quite know how I’d react to it. I wasn’t quite prepared for the emotions and flashbacks that this one day would bring.
The funny thing about memories, at least mine, is that I’m witnessing...

The Return of Little People, Big World

Growing up, I never really experienced the feeling of being attached to people. Of course, I was a child and never thought people would choose to leave. Even then though, my dad moved away, my grandpa died. Loss was experienced, yet as an adult it feels so much….more.
